Join us in our mission to provide unparalleled property management solutions and make a positive impact in our community. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the overall financial operations of our property management company in San Diego.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, billing, and collections

  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

  • Process payroll and maintain employee payroll records, including deductions and withholdings

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic financial planning

  • Monitor and analyze property-related expenses and income, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement

  • Coordinate with property managers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing

  • Assist with year-end financial audits and tax preparation activities

  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in property management accounting

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in the property management industry

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of property management accounting principles and practices preferred
