Description
We are seeking a talented and compassionate HR Generalist to join our team and support our human resources department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nonprofit work and a strong desire to contribute to our organization's success. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting our staff and volunteers in fulfilling our mission.
Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews
Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure compliance with all required paperwork and procedures
Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS database
Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs
Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback
Support employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution and mediation
Assist with HR compliance efforts, including maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience in HR, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS software
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required
