Jeff Abrams with Robert Half is working with a company looking for a Sr. Property Accountant. If you are looking to grow as a property accountant this role could be for you. Responsibilities include:

· Conduct cash analysis at project level.

· Review expenditures in NEXUS (AP system) and MRI (GL system).

· Available to address both internal and external inquiries.

· Perform vendor callbacks to confirm updates to banking information.

· Ensure adherence to GAAP standards in recording accounting transactions.

· Record month-end journal entries and aid in the closing process.

· Responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts (including cash, AP, AR, etc.).

· Maintain the general ledger and update supporting schedules and workbooks.

· Ensure timely processing of debt service payments.

· Assist Asset Managers in preparing and submitting draw requests to lenders.

· Participate in and support the quarter-end close process.

· Aid in preparing quarterly financial statements and investor reports.

· Assist with generating ad hoc reports for Asset Management and lenders.

· Assist in preparing financial/workpaper support for auditors.

· Assist in gathering information for financial statement preparation and footnote disclosures for annual audits.

· Prepare financial packages for tax accountants and review partnership tax returns.

· Available to address inquiries related to tax and audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and with a minimum of 3-5 years accounting work experience. Real estate, private equity, construction, and development strongly preferred.

• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.

• System knowledge: MRI, Nexus, Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables). MRI experience is highly preferred.

• Working knowledge of partnership/fund accounting concepts.
