Deputy Executive Director - Legal Nonprofit

A leading legal nonprofit is seeking a passionate Deputy Executive Director to join our dynamic team.
The Role:
The Deputy Executive Director plays a vital role in supporting the Executive Director and leading all aspects of our organization. You will be responsible for:
Strategic Partnership Development: Building and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, donors, and community partners.
Program Management: Overseeing the successful implementation and growth of our legal service programs.
Operational Excellence: Ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organization.
Fundraising & Development: Assisting with fundraising efforts to secure the resources needed to achieve our mission.
Leadership & Collaboration: Providing leadership and support to staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal non-profit OR experience practicing the law.
Active California bar license is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in leadership, management, and strategic planning.
Strong understanding of legal aid or related field (a plus).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Superior organizational and time management skills.
Proven fundraising and development experience (a plus).
Passion for social justice and a commitment to our mission.
