Robert Half Finance & Accounting Senior Payroll Analyst at successful start-up in San Francisco, California

A successful start-up is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst who will be responsible for owning the bi-weekly Payroll process. This is a great opportunity for someone with Payroll experience to join a growing, mission driven company. This role is autonomous yet partners really closely with other internal teams. We're looking for someone with strong customer service skills and the aptitude to dive into the numbers. The ideal candidate strives to perform with a high level of accuracy and integrity and really wants to help our Team and business.

  • Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll

  • Partner with HR to manage all employee changes in Namely Payroll including salary increases, tax changes, banking details, benefits deductions, and other items

  • Support employees by answering payroll inquiries

  • Manage time sheet submissions and approvals, as well as maintaining employee and manager set-up of Timesheets tool

  • Partner with HR and Accounting to resolve discrepancies between payroll deductions and benefit information to reconcile payroll general ledger accounts.

  • Maintain and organize payroll files for historical reference and audits

  • Assist with 401(k) and financial audits as necessary

  • Review quarterly payroll tax reporting and ensuring filings are handled by Namely
