Description
Robert Half is in search for a Bookkeeper in San Ramon, California. This accounting role may be a great fit if you're self-driven and organized. The company is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to work closely with the accounting department. S/he will be involved with all aspects of financial records. The ideal candidate is an organized professional who will function independently while demonstrating the ability to take initiative. S/he will be responsible for accurately maintaining financial records and performing various accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our company's financial systems. Job Duties
Maintains accounting department files and records.
Enters information into accounting data entry system.
Verifies and prepares checks for mailing.
Research problem invoices; interfaces with vendors, customer service team, and other appropriate staff to reconcile.
Assists with month-end close and runs monthly reports as required.
Prepares and posts deposits; balances deposits on bank statements.
Prepares invoices, checks, timecards, and other records and reviews for accuracy.
Logs, posts, and balances petty cash.
Answers, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls.
Sorts and distributes internal and external mail.
Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing.
Assists with preparation of 1099s as needed.
Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (Required)
