Description

We are offering a direct hire opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager in Santa Barbara, California. This role is critical to our operations, involving oversight of the delivery team, store task management, employee scheduling, and customer service, among other responsibilities. The selected candidate will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of our retail store operations and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery team and ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently

• Manage the retail floor including team management, item tagging, and pricing

• Delegate tasks to store employees and ensure efficient management of the store

• Manage employee scheduling, approve time off and track sick leave

• Oversee the logging and approval of worked hours

• Handle customer escalations both in person and over the phone, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction

• Proactively follow up on customer escalations as needed

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track and manage bonuses

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Outlook for administrative tasks and communication

• Apply retail sales skills to assist with sales and oversee the sales team

• Manage store inventory and ensure accurate records

• Oversee the management of employee timesheets.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong management skills

• Experience in retail sales

• Knowledge of store inventory management

• Familiarity with employee timesheet management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Retail Manager role or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook is essential

• Proven experience in Customer Service and Management is required

• Previous experience in Retail Sales would be advantageous

• Experience in handling Store Inventory is a plus

• Familiarity with Employee Timesheets and related software is desirable

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently.
