Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Los Angeles. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in accounting who are eager to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment. The Junior Accountant will provide support in various accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while working closely with experienced professionals to grow their expertise. The Jr. Accountant will serve as a full-time member of our Full-Time Engagement Professionals team and support various clientele in the greater Los Angeles area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing activities under the guidance of senior staff.

  • Participate in the analysis of financial data and trends to identify variances and discrepancies.

  • Support the maintenance and accuracy of financial records in multiple ERP systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP standards.

  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed, including filing, data entry, and documentation.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn with a proactive attitude towards tasks and challenges.
