SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/ACCOUNTING MANAGER FOR A BIOTECH COMPANY
The position will work closely with the Director of Accounting and Operations to ensure the accuracy of our financials and to provide exceptional support to our clients and internal teams, supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role will routinely partner with others across multiple functions, ensuring proper alignment with policies and procedures for financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in a timely manner, including preparing journal entries.
Prepare reconciliations including accrued expenses, fixed assets, and bank and credit card reconciliations.
Communicate with the internal department regarding budget versus actuals.
-Maintain fixed asset records
-Assist with preparation of tax returns, Forms 1099, external and internal audits with requested data
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
-5 plus years of relevant experience, CPA a plus
-Biotech industry experience preferred
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to work independently and contribute as a team
