Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Spring, Texas
Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our detail oriented Services team located in Spring, Texas. This role involves a range of tasks related to account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management. The successful candidate will be adept at using Microsoft Excel and Oracle, and be skilled in month-end close procedures, Excel formulas, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct account reconciliation accurately and on a regular basis
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation tasks and ensure all financial data is accurate
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correct and up to date
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle for various accounting tasks and data analysis
• Perform month-end close procedures and ensure all necessary steps are completed on time
• Use Excel formulas to automate certain accounting tasks and improve efficiency
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate and timely data for decision making
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies in the budget and actual figures. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas
• Knowledge and experience in Month End Close
• Familiarity with Oracle is required
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Ability to conduct Variance Analysis
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
