Description
Join the ranks of this successful company as their new detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. This position could take your career to the next level. This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position is at a dynamic organization with a growing team, and will require the candidate to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Stamford, Connecticut area.
Key responsibilities
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Provide support during internal and external audits
Operate full-cycle A/P
Execute additional tasks as needed
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Requirements
General familiarity with account reconciliation
Experience with Enter Invoices
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Foundational knowledge in Code Invoices
Adeptness in Code Invoices
Solid understanding of Oracle NetSuite Technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
Quickbooks Online experience
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Strong organization skills
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
