Description
Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for permanent employment in the The Woodlands, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

Requirements
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with ERP systems
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
External auditing experience desired
Fixed Asset Accounting experience
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
