To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you're looking for work where you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. If you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets, you will be preferred for this role.
What you get to do every day
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Current and relevant ERP system experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Formulas
