Robert Half Accounts Payable Accountant in Torrance, California
Description Robert Half is actively searching for a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join an innovative team. Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Clerk will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk role will be situated in the Torrance, California area and is a permanent employment.
How you will make an impact
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Operate full-cycle A/P
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Foundational knowledge in Sales Tax Returns
Strong familiarity with Form 1099
Month end closings experience
Check Runs experience required
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
5+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
