If you're looking for a noteworthy benefits package, this dynamic organization has an Accounts Receivable position open through Robert Half. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Vernon Hills, Illinois region. Candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, will be preferred for this position.
Major responsibilities
Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Supply shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders with information as requested
Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Verify the correctness of documents and codes
Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization
Requirements
Relevant experience in accounts receivable
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Cash applications experience required
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Great attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
