Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk to join the growing staff at a thriving organization. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be an integral part of our accounting team, contributing to the financial efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. This role involves handling a range of financial transactions, office administration, and assisting in financial reporting and compliance, all within the dynamic context of the construction industry. Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

· Make deposits.

· Process and manage payments and invoices efficiently.

· Maintain accurate transaction records.

· Prepare monthly receivable statements.

2. Administrative Support:

· Perform admin duties, including scanning/copying.

· Mail distribution, postage.

· Perform administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.

· Liaise with various departments for financial information gathering.

· Bank Reconciliations.

3. General Ledger and Month-end Close:

· Contribute to month-end financial statement preparation.

· Reconcile job cost and general ledger accounts.

· Process journal entries and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, helpful but not necessary

· Experience in accounting or a related field, construction industry experience preferred.

· Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and basic accounting.

· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, Sage 300.

· Organizational and time-management skills.

· Attention to detail and confidentiality.

· Knowledge of residential construction and contracting.
