Robert Half Accounting Manager in Warrington, Pennsylvania
Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the legal sector. The role is based in WARRINGTON, Pennsylvania. As an integral part of our team, your responsibilities will include managing accounting operations, developing staff, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of accounting information.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, including a supervisor, to ensure effective performance.
• Establish and maintain a time management system for each member of the accounting staff.
• Assist the Accounts Payable team and negotiate with vendors.
• Collaborate with the revenue manager to address billing/Accounts Receivable-related issues.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for approval by the CFO.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Implement internal control processes for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
• Prepare and analyze variance reports for the executive team.
• Review and prepare financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Verify and ensure accurate entries of prepaid, accruals, deposits, revenue, Client cost advances, and other expenses.
• Manage hiring, termination, and disciplinary processes for accounting staff.
• Plan and understand requirements for quarterly and annual audits.
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, Key Performance Indicators, audits, compliances, insurance, and reporting financial packages.
• Implement automation and process improvements to reduce redundancy in accounting operations.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience with Auditing
• Understanding of Billing Functions
• Ability to create Cash Flow Forecasts
• Proficiency in Billing procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Ability to prepare Personal Financial Statements
• Understanding of Profit and loss calculations
• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems is necessary
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Must possess skills to handle all Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial
• Must have a solid background in Auditing
• Proficiency in handling Billing Functions and Cash Flow Forecasts is required
• Experience with Billing is necessary
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Ability to prepare Personal Financial Statements is required
• Knowledge of Profit and Loss statements is necessary
• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must
• Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degrees or detail oriented certifications like CPA are a plus.
