Our client has a great story to tell - they are growing rapidly both organically and via acquisition. This strong activity has led to a need for a talented Accounting Manager. The new Accounting Manager will work closely with a very strong Controller and also support their CFO. A number of high profile projects will ensure that this role will have exposure to the entire C-Suite. Core duties for this exciting Accounting Manager role will include: 1) Management of the monthly accounting close and the related consolidation process and financial reporting. 2) Providing technical accounting guidance and the performance of GAAP/FASB research for a number of critical issues including M A transactions, international accounting issues and revenue recognition. 3) Acting as a liaison with external auditors and supporting the conduct of the annual audit. 4) Working to develop and implement standardized accounting policies and procedures. 5) Evaluation of existing internal controls, processes and as well as financial reporting methodologies and determine corrective action for any weaknesses. 6) Responsibility for financial reporting to outside investors as well as internal management reporting including related financial analysis and KPI. 7) Active management and mentoring of their direct team as well as providing guidance to indirect reports on special projects. 8) Participation in special projects such as financial systems upgrades, evaluation of new systems and procedures and other ad hoc projects and analytics to support Senior Management Please submit your resume to Raj Khanna at firstname.lastname@example.org for immediate consideration for this unique role as well as our other active openings in the Washington Metro area.
