Description
Our client, a Pharmaceutical company in the Essex County Area is looing to bring on a Senior Accountant in a newly created role. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audit preparation, and more. In addition to a strong compensation and benefits package, this position offers a great long-term potential. What you get to do every single day
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Monthly Journal Entries experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP ERP
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Skilled with large ERP systems, SAP S4Hanna experience would be ideal!
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
