As we continue to grow, we're seeking a talented individual to join us as an Accounts Payable Clerk on a contract-to-hire basis.

Position Overview: As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our finance department by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. You will work closely with our accounting team to maintain vendor relationships, reconcile invoices, and support month-end closing processes. Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices for payment and generate payments in an accurate and timely manner Responsible for daily invoice entry into the system, ensuring the invoice matches against receiving documents and system PO Accurately enter invoices into the system, including proper G/L accounts. Identify, obtain missing information, backup and/or approvals and solve process related problems with vendor invoices Where no PO is required, the AP Representative manages the approval process, routing the invoices to appropriate individuals for approval and following up to ensure invoices are paid within the desired time frame Match cheques to appropriate backup and forward for signatures, segregating cheques that require special handling Reconciliation to the system Accrual Reports Report on Aged Payables Schedule and print cheque runs three times per month Prepare and maintain necessary files, records, and schedules and fulfill internal and external reporting requirements in a timely mannger Able to handle a large volume of at least 1,500 invoices monthly

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3+ years of hands on full cycle AP experience in an ERP environment

Solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles

Good computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products

JD Edwards experience a plus!

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Familiarity with Major ERP Systems is essential

• Experience with Batching and Coding is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
