Description
Our client, a reputable law firm in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a permanent full-time Estate Administration Paralegal to their team. Benefits include 100% employer paid healthcare for the employee plus dental, vision, short/long term disability, life insurance, PTO, and 401k profit sharing.
The trusts and estates Paralegal will be responsible for managing and timely producing a high volume of complex, detailed work involving estate administration, trust administration and fiduciary accounting. The paralegal must be able to work independently, handling the administration of an estate from beginning to end, and collaborating with attorneys as needed.
Assisting attorneys with drafting, revisions, and finalizing trusts, wills, and other estate planning documents;
Trust & Estate administration (i.e., prepare accountings, manage trust expenses and distributions, facilitate the filing of trust tax returns);
Prepare various correspondence to clients, financial institutions, insurance companies, etc.
Prepare probate filings;
Identifying, gathering, and valuing assets;
Preparing accountings for both estates and trusts;
Draft and organize estate tax returns, fiduciary tax returns, and other tax or IRS related forms;
Managing a docket system and tracking deadlines.
Requirements
3-5+ years of estate administration experience
Ability to work fully onsite Monday - Friday in Winston-Salem, NC office
