Description

Position: Application Support Specialist

Location: Worcester, MA

Schedule: Full-time, onsite (5 days a week)

Role Overview:

As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting software applications deployed within our customers' organization. Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of line-of-business application-related issues, ensuring swift resolution through appropriate escalation channels. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand, address, and prevent recurring issues by identifying and addressing their root causes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of customer-reported issues related to software applications and provide timely resolution or escalation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Document and track issues, resolutions, and root causes to develop a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions to improve application performance and stability.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on issue resolution progress.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience in application support or a related technical role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment while being a self-driven individual contributor.

  • Willingness to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with [specific software or technology used in the organization, if applicable].

  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting software applications in a customer-facing environment.

  • Knowledge of ITIL or other best practices in IT service management.
