Description

Accounts Payable Manager sought for Billion dollar company growing distribution company. Right now responsible for a staff of 6 who do three way match and resolve exceptions. They will be going to be going through system conversion and just did three acquisitions so they need a person who has put in place best practices and new systems. They are looking for a working manager who can interact with purchasing and other areas regarding exceptions, system implementations and supervise work flow and staff. Knowledge of concur and systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Manages a staff of 6 currently AP. Handling 3 way match and all check disbursements

 Manages accounts payable area for company ensures accuracy and timeliness.

 Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies for accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to best practices

 Manages accounts payable close process.

 Provides accounting assistance to operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.

 Acts as a liaison between other departments including purchasing to resolve discrepancies and create best practices maintained

 Mentor and train employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. .





 Qualifications

 3 way match a must and problem solver

 5 – 15 plus years of accounting payable experience

 One or more years of leadership experience included

 Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software

 Must AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience

 Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills

 Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management

 Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management

 Strong analytical and problem solving skills

 Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles

 Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
