Description
This boutique litigation law firm is offering an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Dallas. You will be an integral part of the team as you manage various legal administrative tasks, assist with court proceedings, and you will even have the opportunity to attend trial. The position will allow you to utilize your skills in Adobe Acrobat, PACER, Microsoft Word, Court Proceedings, and Discovery.
Responsibilities:
• Download, organize, and track all orders, filings, and discovery served, noting deadlines on the firm’s calendar.
• Draft initial disclosures, discovery responses, and requests for production of documents.
• Create templates for motions, pleadings, and appellate briefings and proofread finalized documents.
• Handle e-filing in state and federal courts and related service tasks.
• Assist with the preparation of pre-trial and hearing presentations.
• Manage and maintain document indexes.
• Coordinate with third parties for record requests.
• Prepare and circulate weekly docket sheet of all cases.
• Interface with firm vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with the firm’s outside accountant and bookkeeper for accounts payable.
• Manage attorney time and create monthly billing statements for clients, tracking payment of accounts receivable.
• Assist lawyers with associated professional obligations.

Requirements
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant with some paralegal duties is a requirement for this position
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software.
• Capable of handling billing functions and calendar management tasks efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain good client relations.
• Must have a deep understanding of Texas Rules of Civil and Appellate Procedure
• Should be skilled using Tables of Contents and Table of Authorities
• Proven experience in Discovery, including gathering and organizing evidence for legal proceedings
• Knowledge of PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) for researching case information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and witnesses to assist with case investigations and preparation
• Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate is preferred
