Description

Our client in the North Dallas area is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as an HR Generalist with a focus on Payroll and Benefits. This role requires strong Excel skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage payroll processes efficiently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in payroll administration, benefits management, general HR tasks and ADP Workforce Now.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to track and manage sales payroll data.

  • Develop formulas to calculate commissions, which are paid out in specific intervals based on home construction projects.

  • Monitor sales personnel commissions and track missed premiums, adjusting draw balances accordingly.

  • Review existing templates and troubleshoot formula errors.

  • Utilize functions such as PT, VLOOKUP's, and other Excel tools to streamline payroll processes.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs.

  • Coordinate with employees to ensure accurate enrollment and changes in benefit plans.

  • Manage insurance premium payments, including mailing checks and submitting check requests to accounting.

HR Generalist Duties:

  • Handle general HR tasks on a bi-weekly basis during non-payroll weeks.

  • Maintain employee files, including rotating files for terminated employees.

  • Review and process monthly I-9 forms.

  • Accurately enter and track PTO (Paid Time Off) requests.

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and assist with onboarding processes.

  • Prepare and submit monthly invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formula development.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software is a plus.
