Description We are in search of an organized and meticulous Accounting Controller to manage the financial aspects of our Real Estate Investment, Construction, and Property Management operations in Van Nuys, California. This role involves comprehensive financial oversight of income property and construction projects, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Monitor project expenses and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis and cash flow management, to assess project profitability and financial health.

• Review and negotiate construction contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the organization.

• Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support for their development.

• Utilize Procore and Yardi accounting software effectively to manage financial data and streamline processes.

• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth financial transactions.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including project-specific financial statements and reports for senior management.

• Reconcile weekly credit card expenses and manage receipts.

• Participate in special projects and reporting as requested. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar accounting position

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidelines

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with various ERP Solutions

• Ability to oversee all accounting functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in auditing practices

• Experience in managing budget processes
