Robert Half IT Support Technician in AKRON, Ohio

Description Robert Half is looking for a Help Desk Analyst to support local and field users in a growing company. As a Help Desk Analyst, you must have a passion for solving problems in a dynamic and rapidly-changing work environment. Because this Help Desk Analyst role is very visible within the company, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the department and organization. This Help Desk Analyst role is based in the Akron, Ohio area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.

Your responsibilities

  • Diagnose recurring technical issues and implement solutions to address the root of the problems

  • Deliver IT support for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other applications used internally

  • Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues

  • Assist and follow up on technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups Requirements - Proven experience in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts

  • Demonstrated knowledge of user administration and bug fixing in a client server environment

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Hardware & software installation experience

  • Desktop Hardware experience

  • General familiarity with Basic Troubleshooting

  • Experience with PC Hardware

  • Prior experience with VPNs (virtual private networks)

  • Background working with Microsoft Outlook

  • Microsoft Office 365 experience desired

  • Good understanding of Computer Imaging

  • Experience with Hardware Problems

  • Expertise in MS Windows 10

  • Previous experience working with Desktop Imaging

  • Hardware and Software experience

  • Practical knowledge of Network Troubleshooting

  • Earlier work involving Microsoft Word

  • Blue Screen experience preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Basic Network Troubleshooting

  • Adeptness in Hardware Troubleshooting

  • Computer Hardware experience desired

  • Troubleshoot Hardware experience highly preferred

  • PC skills experience highly valued

  • Hands-on experience with routers

  • Comprehension of PC Software

  • IT support ticketing system experience desired
