Description We are seeking a Bookkeeper with great interpersonal skills and a background in accounting to join our team. This long-term contract / contract Bookkeeper role will be located in the Albany, New York area. Robert Half is seeking a detail oriented Bookkeeper with excellent communication tactics and a can-do attitude to build their career with a thriving company. How you will make an impact
-Enter all invoices into financial database, create all vendor checks.& maintain system for invoices to be paid and paid invoices.
-Create daily bank deposit, enter deposit detail into financial database & maintain system for deposit records.
-Process payroll bi-weekly, prepare schedule of payrolls for payroll servicer & maintain files of payroll-related documents.
-Enter all new employees into database & update current employees’ changes as required.
-Prepare and enter all journal entries for each payroll run.
-Reconcile and create journal entries as needed each month for: prepaid expenses, depreciation, pledge receivables, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
-Other duties as assigned.

Basic Bookkeeping experience
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
Prior experience using accounting software
Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
