Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerk in Albany, New York. This role is crucial in our team, where you will be performing financial analyses, preparing reports, and ensuring the overall financial health of higher education institutions. Additionally, you will also be responsible for customer service, handling payment processing, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the financial analysis of higher education institutions, focusing on their overall financial condition and identifying any potential risks.
• Calculate federal financial responsibility composite scores for higher education institutions, using a methodology prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education and spreadsheet templates.
• Keep a record of composite scores for higher education institutions, including noting any irregularities or areas of concern.
• Gather, clean, and arrange data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and the agency’s Information and Reporting Services’ data reports.
• Utilize the collected data to develop graphs in spreadsheet software.
• Process payments received by check, including scanning, saving, and distributing copies, as well as delivering checks to the appropriate personnel.
• Oversee the submission of financial audits by higher education institutions, ensuring they are complete and up-to-date.
• Use your auditing and bookkeeping skills to maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts.
• Enhance productivity by assisting with the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service

• Experience in Scanning Documents
• Proficiency in Financial Analysis

• Understanding of various Methodologies in finance and auditing
• Ability to coordinate with Appropriate Personnel
• Skill in creating and using Templates for financial reports
• Experience conducting Financial Audits
• Ability to prepare and analyze Audited Financial Statements
• Skill to Identify Risks in financial operations
• Proficiency in using Reporting Services for financial data
• Familiarity with IHE standards and practices
• Proficiency in various Accounting Functions
