Robert Half Internal Auditor in Albany, New York

Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an Internal Auditor with 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry to join our clients team in the Capital Region, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting, finance, and internal controls, as well as familiarity with internal auditing standards, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO frameworks, and risk assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop internal audit scopes, perform audit procedures, and prepare detailed internal audit reports.

  • Research and analyze technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with ASC and GAAP guidelines.

  • Conduct follow-up reviews to monitor the status of outstanding internal audit issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Assist in the preparation of internal audit management reports and presentations to stakeholders.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting or private industry.

  • Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, and risk assessment practices.

  • Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
