Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, processing payments, and conducting research to reconcile discrepancies. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer payments through various methods such as checks, cash, EFT, Online Bill Pay, and more.

• Maintain and update customer account information, including contact details and account statuses.

• Conduct detailed research and analysis to reconcile discrepancies and credits on customer accounts.

• Work closely with the sales department and other teams to keep accurate notes on customer account statuses.

• Handle high volumes of customer inquiries, providing timely and effective resolution.

• Ensure that customer accounts are reconciled and kept up-to-date with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service, establishing good working relationships with both internal and external contacts.

• Handle a large volume of orders and calls, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.

• Adhere to compliance with Nevada credit law and SOPs, escalating to supervisor as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including payment processing, cash activity review, and discrepancy resolution

• Solid understanding of office functions, reporting procedures, and compliance standards

• Exceptional customer service skills to effectively manage customer accounts

• Experience in sales and ability to perform receptionist duties

• Familiarity with scheduling, supervising, and managing time effectively

• Knowledge of check processing and collection processes

• Understanding of credit, deposits, and financial notes

• Ability to conduct research analysis and authorizations

• Proficiency in using video for communication and presentations

• Familiarity with various methods used in accounting and finance

• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn new skills and improve existing ones.
