Robert Half Cyber Security Engineer I in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico
This is a fulltime Cybersecurity opportunity based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Assist ISO with administering, planning, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading security measures for the protection of data, systems and networks. Assist networking staff as requested by VP of Infrastructure or Manager of Networking and Systems. Research all security breaches affecting or could affect operations. Assist ISO and VP Infrastructure in implementing Incident Response Plan when incidents arise. Ensure that the data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls. Participate in the change management process. Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities. Facilitate and perform security awareness training and assist in the development and promotion of corporate education and awareness regarding ITS security policies and programs. Assist in maintaining vendor relationships associated with the information security program.

The successful Cyber security Engineer will have:
Minimum 2+ years information security experience.
• Demonstrates understanding of modern system security concepts and computer/network security practices and applications.
• Knowledgeable of the following:
o Multiple layers of security, perimeter security, social engineering and other aspects of corporate security practices
o Intrusion detection, incident response and computer forensics
o Minimal programming and script building knowledge
o Network, intranet, internet and application security assessment tools and topologies
o Security practices, firewall and router configurations
o Inventory and vulnerability management
o TCP/IP configuration, directory service protocols, routing, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS systems
o Internet/Intranet technologies and design concepts and techniques from security standpoint
o Windows Server and/or AIXOS and their associated security vulnerability
o Ability to apply security enhancements using GPO
o Log management, review and monitoring
o E-mail and web filters with a goal to reduce vulnerabilities
• One or more current security certifications (i.e. Security+, ISACA CSX, GISF, SSCP, CEH, CNDA, etc.).
• Bachelor’s or four college degree in computer science, information systems, security engineering or
related field desired, or equivalent direct training in cyber security concepts in lieu of education.
