Description

You will succeed in this Full Charge Bookkeeper position if you have a background in accounting and you're interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. If you're looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you might be the candidate Accountemps is looking for to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. The long-term temporary-to-full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

How you will make an impact

  • Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

  • Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents

  • Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time

  • Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows

  • Following progress of fixed assets to prepare depreciation schedules

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

  • Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Full charge bookkeeping experience

  • Solid understanding of Sage 100

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

  • 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field

  • High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

  • Experience with payroll preferred

  • Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
