Robert Half Service Desk Technician in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Service Desk Technician based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Service Desk Technician provides support to users and helps to resolve their issues. Service Desk Technician responsibilities consist of responding to tickets received from end users, planning, organizing, and prioritizing the work and ensuring that high quality of services is rendered to internal clients, thereby ensuring better customer satisfaction.

Monitor, assign and respond quickly and effectively to requests received via the Service Desk Plus or phone call.

Follow up with outstanding tickets to ensure proper and timely communication is occurring between technicians and customers.

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues related to systems, software, and hardware.

Resolves problems and incidents in compliance with established resolution SLA. Work with management to establish and adjust SLAs as necessary. Determine and document root causes of problems.

Incident Management- Ensures timely escalation of issues by documenting the impact and urgency -Drive incident and problem resolution, including rationalization and prioritization -Capture all appropriate information needed for incidents that are unable to be resolved immediately.

Work through the problem-solving process with customers.

Participate in on-call rotation to support the 24X7 operational requirements of the organization with an expected response time of 30 minutes.

Maintain and enforce network security and network file administration to ensure access by authorized personnel.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment by interacting with all employees in a respectful, professional manner.

Abide by all company policies and procedures as listed in the Employee Handbook and/or established by or directed by management.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The successful Service Desk Technician will have:

CompTia A+ certificate desirable.

1+ year Service Desk experience

Experience with troubleshooting vmware connectivity issues, thin clients and Active Directory;

Excellent troubleshooting skills and able to think outside the box;

Excellent customer service skills with ability to assist both technical and non technical users;

Background required prior to employment
