Calling all Tax Preparers in ABQ! Full time, on site position, pay range 60-80 depending on experience.

Prepare and review various types of tax returns, including 1040's, S-corporations, and C-corporations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, offering insights for minimizing liabilities and maximizing benefits.

Research and stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and informed tax preparation.

Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and provide guidance.

Collaborate with the CPA team to support tax compliance and reporting.

Assist in resolving tax-related issues and concerns.

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer role based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Working in the financial industry, this position involves preparing and reviewing various types of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing tax planning and advisory services. The successful candidate will also be required to stay updated on tax laws and regulations, communicate effectively with clients, and collaborate with the team to support tax compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review various types of tax returns, including 1040's, S-corporations, and C-corporations.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, offering insights to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits.

• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and informed tax preparation.

• Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and provide guidance.

• Collaborate with the team to support tax compliance and reporting.

• Use tax preparation software such as Lacerte to process and file tax returns.

• Assist in resolving tax-related issues and concerns.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

Requirements • Proficiency in tax preparation and a solid understanding of tax laws and regulations

• Experience as a tax preparer or in a similar role

• Knowledge of tax software such as Lacerte Tax Software

• Familiarity with various types of corporate structures including S-Corps and C Corps

• Ability to prepare and file form E1040 for individuals

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
