Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Alden, Iowa
Description
A leading agricultural company is in the Alden area is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. The main focus of the position would be to process accounts payables and invoice entry in addition to other related accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
Processing of all invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure invoices have the appropriate coding and are paid by the responsible entity
Ensure timely payment to all vendors to avoid finance charges
Manage vendor information (i.e., collect W-9’s prior to payment, keep up to date vendor listing, update contact information, etc.)
Monthly review and reconcile vendor statements and timely researching any discrepancies
Assist with year-end 1099 process

Requirements
Associate degree in Accounting/related field and/or four years of related experience with training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Accounting/ERP Software
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Ability to manage time wisely, stay organized while being detail oriented and working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
