Description
We are offering a contract opportunity to join our team as a Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk in the retail food store industry, located in Alexandria, Minnesota. The role involves handling accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, data entry, and working with account reconciliation tools. You will be part of a dynamic team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing and coding of invoices
• Conducting check runs on a weekly basis
• Ensuring accurate data entry for all financial transactions
• Providing backup support to Accounts Receivable and Sales Tax functions when required
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
• Ensuring all invoices are correctly matched and batched
• Employing skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) functions
• Regularly monitoring and managing customer credit accounts
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role or a similar position within the retail - food store industry.
• Strong knowledge and experience in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP).
• Proficiency in check runs and coding invoices.
• Excellent data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience in invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets and use advanced functions.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the changing world of finance.
