Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves managing accounting transactions and general administrative tasks for a manufacturing company specializing in proprietary products. The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient operations within our ERP system. This position is a great fit for candidates with a strong understanding of GAAP and experience in full cycle accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, as well as journal entries and accruals.
• Maintain and update the General Ledger as needed.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
• Conduct bank and inter-company reconciliations.
• Coordinate receiving and shipping activities within the ERP system, such as Microsoft Dynamics Navision, SAP, or similar.
• Provide support to the Controller and Assistant Controller, as needed.
• Cross-train with other accounting and administrative functions to ensure seamless operations.
• Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software tools to analyze complex data and generate reports.
• Prioritize and multitask effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Familiarity with General Ledger processes is mandatory.
• Ability to handle Journal Entries is expected.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary.
• Proficiency in the use of NetSuite is required.
• Deep understanding of GAAP Accounting principles is essential.
• Experience in Full Cycle Accounting is a must.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
