Description
Experienced in accounting as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? Interested in taking on new challenges and opportunities to further your career? If you're comfortable with preparing and processing financial statements and accounts and managing all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions, you might be the Full Charge Bookkeeper Robert Half is looking for. To succeed in this position, you will need excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Allegan, Michigan.
Your responsibilities in this role
Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Following progress of fixed assets to prepare depreciation schedules
Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Requirements - 3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field
A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
- Earlier work involving Excel and Peachtree
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Strong familiarity with Communication Skills
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Payroll experience highly desired
QuickBooks experience preferred
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
Payroll experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
