This Medical Customer Service Representative will also be updating patient demographics and should have a strong understanding of handling confidential paperwork and sensitive information. In this Medical Customer Service Representative role, you may be required to work evenings and weekends, in addition to a daytime schedule. Schedules may also include both Part and Full-Time shifts.

You may not be guaranteed to get into the schedule desired and must be flexible to work any of the above shifts if needed! We will try to work closely if there is a preference!

DUTIES

Answer all inbound phone calls and screen patient calls

Answer any patient questions regarding needs services such as (but not limited to) scheduling needs, providing support for any clinical service needs, assisting with gathering patient information, provide answering services for doctor office calls within network and any follow up calls regarding post-operation inquiries

Access patient account information and update information as needed

Maintain healthcare service knowledge for problem resolution and customer inquiry purposes

Build and develop strong customer relationships

Handle contract administration and data entry

Obtain insurance information and verify eligibility with insurance companies on an as-needed basis

Additional tasks relating to customer service as needed

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

1+ years' experience working in a Call Center or high-volume Customer Service setting

Preferred experience working in Healthcare or a Call Center environment dealing directly with Healthcare Insurance but not a requirement

Candidate should be able to work in a high-volume call center and be able to take about 80-100 calls daily

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively

Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills

Proficient Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Prior experience working within Epic a plus!

Must be able to take every call with a smile on your face and provide exceptional customer service with every patient call!

Position is located on-site in Allentown, PA and candidate must be within a commutable distance to the office.

Must be available to work the noted schedule; flexible in working evenings and weekends as needed!

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and/or other related studies highly preferred!
