Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Alpharetta, Georgia
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role involves handling all aspects of accounts payable within our team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the processing of vendor payments and resolution of invoice discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for data entry of invoices and general-ledger details.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing, verification, and reconciliation of invoices.
• Carry out report comparisons to balances and validate entries.
• Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers, and control petty cash expenditure.
• Verify vendor accounts and take necessary actions to resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
• Aid in enhancing the accounts payable process.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise integrity in financial reporting.
• Assist senior financial officers as needed.
• Oversee vendor account maintenance.
• Comply with national and local financial regulations. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar.
• Proficient with account coding and accounting software systems.
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.
• Must be capable of handling various accounting functions.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and operations.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting is necessary.
• Previous experience in auditing is required.
• Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary.
• Applicants must show a strong understanding and application of accounting principles.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
