Description
Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join a growing team. You will be responsible for entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, applying payments, maintaining a cash receipting journal, and updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. This rapidly growing team is looking to add a self-starter to the accounting team! With high attention to detail, you will be processing full-cycle AP and handling a significant number of invoices per week. The Accounts Receivable Analyst role is a permanent position in the Alpharetta, Georgia area.
How you will make an impact
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Verify the correctness of documents and codes
Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Manage monthly closings and annual reports, including handling payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP
Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Requirements - 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Efficient in ERP systems
General familiarity with account reconciliation
Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Limit
Aging Reports experience preferred
Adeptness in Commercial Collections
Proficiency in Posting Payments
Experience with commercial collections
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Cash applications experience required
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
