Robert Half Staff Accountant in Alpharetta, Georgia
Perform monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements for each operating location
Review and record weekly sales transactions
Accurately complete balance sheet reconciliations by the deadline set with all unusual items properly followed up on and completely examined.
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and weekly reports
Review period inventory, food cost and utility expense for accuracy each period
Enter and maintain fixed asset records
Prepare and file tax returns (personal property, sales & use)
Respond to information requests
Propose ideas and solutions to problems that arise
Perform ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned
Currently working a hybrid schedule, 3 days in office/2 days remote after training is completed
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Must have 1-3 years of experience as a staff accountant
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Must be a critical thinker
Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
Multi-unit restaurant, hospitality or retail experience is a plus
