Robert Half CAD Engineer in Altamont, New York
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated CAD Engineer to join our team located in Altamont, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for working with design teams, using computer-assisted design software, and developing control systems.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans
• Utilize computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product
• Formulate product specifications and select raw materials and components for production
• Construct and test models and prototypes of the product
• Analyze test data and make comparisons with similar designs to enhance product quality
• Develop and monitor control systems to ensure smooth production processes
• Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the team lead
• Use AutoCAD, CAD - CAM, and Autodesk Inventor to enhance design and production processes
• Adhere to NQA-1 quality standards throughout the product design and production stages.
Requirements
• Must possess at least 1 year of experience in the role of a CAD Engineer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD - CAM, and Autodesk Inventor is essential.
• Familiarity with NQA-1 quality assurance standard is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Must have a proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• It is necessary to have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in construction or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry is essential.
• Must be able to provide innovative solutions for complex engineering problems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
