Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Amarillo, Texas
Description Talented Accounting Managers will be interested in Robert Half's opportunity to work with a thriving company. This is a successful Agriculture organization that will recognize your efforts. This role's duties will require leading daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. This role's duties will require the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Located in the Amarillo, Texas area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
How you will make an impact
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration Requirements - Reliable technology and analytical abilities
CPA/MBA preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Recent relevant financial experience
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrated knowledge of Year-end Close
Knowledge of US GAAP
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Profit Loss
Adeptness in month end closings
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
