Description Robert Half has an opening for a Payroll Clerk at a growing company in the Amarillo, Texas area whose main responsibility will be to support the Payroll department in a number of duties. Grow your career path in this challenging position alongside an industry leader. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk will tackle challenges in data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.
How you will make an impact
Fill in data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Compile a system of administering and distributing reports
Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Configure custom reports
Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc Requirements - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
High attention to detail
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Previous payroll experience
Prior Payroll software experience preferred
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Eagerness to master new systems
Foundational knowledge in Process Payroll
Previous experience working with HR Payroll System
Hands-on experience with payroll for over 500 employees
Staffing experience highly preferred
Foundational knowledge in Corporate Recruiting
Process Bi-weekly Payroll experience required
Solid understanding of HRIS
Strong familiarity with Onboarding
Background working with Answering Inbound Calls
Payroll management experience desired
Adeptness in Corporate Recruiting
Payroll experience highly valued
Practical knowledge of Staffing
Demonstrated knowledge of e-Recruitment
Prior experience with payroll for under 100 employees
Payroll Law experience preferred
Comprehension of payroll systems for 100-500 employees
Reconcile Payroll experience highly desired
Experience with manual payroll
Human Resources (HR) Administration experience preferred
General familiarity with Full Cycle Recruiting
Proficiency in Process Biweekly Payroll
Experience with Diversity Recruitment
Earlier work involving Answering Inbound Calls
Good understanding of bi-Monthly Payroll
