Job Title: Onsite Construction Controller

Position Overview: As an Onsite Construction Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial aspects of our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting. Your presence onsite every day will be crucial in monitoring project progress and identifying any financial discrepancies or potential cost overruns.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans.
Conduct regular cost analysis and identify areas for cost savings or optimization.
Collaborate with project managers to forecast financial requirements and manage cash flow effectively.
Job Costing:
Own robust job costing processes to accurately track project expenses and revenues.
Maintain detailed records of labor, materials, and equipment costs for each project.
Analyze job costing data to assess project profitability and make informed financial decisions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Provide insightful analysis of financial data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role within the construction industry
• Proficiency in using Sage Timberline software
• Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data
• Expertise in financial reporting and the ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports
• Experience in financial reconciliation with a focus on identifying discrepancies and providing solutions
• Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA certification is highly desirable
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
