Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for their organization, who will act as our primary point of contact for storage, virtualization, and backups. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and understanding of storage platforms. Whilethey use Pier, knowledge of this platform is not mandatory, provided you are well-versed with storage rays & SANS.

The role involves a fair amount of Windows Server Administration, thus expertise in general Windows systems is a requirement. Additionally, since we operate entirely on VMware for virtualization, you'll need to understand this platform thoroughly.

Ensuring reliable backup processes is a significant function of this position. We are currently using the Veem platform in a Lenovo storage environment, hence you should preferably be familiar with implementing storage and managing backups in such a setting.

To simplify and streamline tasks, it is essential for the candidate to have a sound knowledge of coding/scripting. While the current approach to server deployment is manual, involving Ansible, the goal would be to enhance automation around server deployment, monitoring, and server resolution.

Although the majority of cloud apps we use are SaaS solutions provided by vendors, having a cloud background would still be beneficial. However, it is important to note that if your recent experience strictly lies in cloud, this role may not be aligned with your skills.

Beyond these tasks, the potential hire should also be open to learning new platforms. Further training will be provided on ECSA and EPIC, which are primarily medical-based tools.

Qualifications:

• Detailed understanding of storage platforms and SANS
