Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Amherst, New York

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Full Charge Bookkeeper in AMHERST, New York. The primary function of this role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This position is within a telecom provider company and requires a high level of proficiency in various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer credit records

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitoring customer credit accounts to identify and rectify any irregularities

• Taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Handling payroll for the team, including direct deposits and tax processing

• Managing contractor payments and reconciliations

• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations

• Handling billing functions and income registration

• Using QuickBooks and other Microsoft Office Suites such as Excel and Outlook for various accounting functions. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions is a must

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations is required

• Must be able to manage Billing Functions effectively

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a significant advantage

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work is required

• Must possess excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
