In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Responsibilities
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries Requirements - Current and relevant ERP system experience
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of Oracle
